Spring Equinox

Today is the spring (Vernal) Equinox for all of us who reside in the Southern Hemisphere, and we can feel that powerful shift moving us from winter into summer. There are two equinox that occur each year, one in Autumn and one in Spring. They occur when the tilt of the Earth’s axis and Earth’s orbit around the sun combine in a way that the axis is inclined neither away from nor toward the sun. Today is when both hemispheres are receiving the sun’s rays equally. It is a time for total balance and harmony.

We recently shared our ideas for bringing balance to our day on the journal and are believers that aligning our routine with the seasonal changes can help bring equilibrium into our lives. We're also strong believers in celebrating these unique moments that we share with our home, the earth. When we're all sharing this strange moment in history together of isolation and lockdowns, finding ways to connect to each other and the natural world feels extra special. Wherever you are, how can you celebrate today?

Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
